A sound theologian and a subtle psychologist, a loving and attentive disciple, he has penetrated the most delicate nuances of the Saint's thoughts to reveal the essential lines with great clarity. He is also able to translate his admirable Tuscan language into delightful French, adding great charm to the book. This modest-looking little volume constitutes an enlightening treatise, appealing and never prosaic, of beautiful spiritual theology.
