L'auteur - Art Spiegelman

Art Spiegelman est un mythe de la bande dessinée moderne. Dessinateur dans la presse alternative américaine dès les années 60, il se fait éditeur dans les années 80 en publiant la fameuse revue Raw, où se croisent les signatures de Charles Burns, Gary Panther, Tardi, Masse, Muñoz ou Joost Swarte. Il est l'auteur du célèbre Maus, extraordinaire ouvrage relatant simultanément la déportation des juifs dans les camps de la mort et sa relation complexe avec son père, lui-même ancien déporté. Une oeuvre qui lui a valu le prix Pulitzer. Il vit actuellement à New York et a publié un grand ouvrage, A l'ombre des deux tours, regroupant des planches de dessins sur l'attentat du 11 septembre, qui signe son retour à la bande dessinée.
